From the West: From I-26 take HWY 108 northeast through Columbus NC. Main Street Columbus is HWY 108. Continue on 108 for approximately 15 miles (curvy two-lane paved road). Cross Broad River (concrete bridge). Crossroads at top of next hill is intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and 108. Turn LEFT onto Pleasant Hill Road. (Turning right takes you to the PHF Hereford Farm). Continue on Pleasant Hill Road. Stay right at fork just past Pleasant Hill Church. Continue on Pleasant Hill Road until it ends on Maple Creek Road. Turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Go a few hundred yards and take first left onto CC Lovelace Road. Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.

From the East: Take I-85 south to US74 toward Shelby. Continue through Shelby. US74 turns into US74-bypass at forest city. Continue on 74-Bypass to Union Road exit. (You will pass the exit to Rutherfordton.) Go right onto Union Road (curvy two-lane paved road) and continue about 2.5 miles to Pleasant Hill Road on the left. Take sharp turn onto Pleasant Hill Road and continue until you reach HWY 108. Cross over 108 and continue past Pleasant Hill Church where road appears to fork -- fork right. Continue on Pleasant Hill Road until it ends on Maple Creek Road. Turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Go a few hundred yards and take first left onto CC Lovelace Road. Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.

From the North: From I-40 (between Statesville and Asheville) take HWY 221 south towards Rutherfordton. Go about 20 miles on HWY 221. Take HWY74-64 exit off 221. (If you go into town you've gone too far.) Turn right onto HWY74-64 away from bridge and continue short distance until road ends. Turn left following signs to Hospital. Go 100 yards and turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Continue on Maple Creek Road 4-5 miles. Cross narrow bridge at sharp curve then take next right (CC Lovelace Road). Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.

From the South: Take I-26 to HWY 108. Follow Same directions as if coming from the West.

FROM LOCAL TOWNS:
From Marion: Take HWY 221 south towards Rutherfordton. Go about 20 miles on HWY 221. Take HWY74-64 exit off 221. (If you go into town you've gone too far.) Turn right onto HWY74-64 away from bridge and continue short distance until road ends. Turn left following signs to Hospital. Go 100 yards and turn right onto Maple Creek Road. From Lake Lure: Take HWY 74 east toward Rutherfordton. Pass Greenhill Store/Chevron on right. Take next right onto Maple Creek Road. Immediately after turning onto Maple Creek fork to left up hill onto Moss Road. Continue on Moss Road to end. Turn right onto Cooper's Gap Road. Take first road on left (CC Lovelace Road). Continue to 371 CC Lovelace Road. Our house is a big yellow farm house on the right.
From Morganton: Take HWY 64 to Rutherfordton. Go straight through first stoplight and continue over Hwy 221 to stop sign. Turn left towards Hospital. Go 100 yards and turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Continue on Maple Creek Road 4-5 miles. Cross narrow bridge at sharp curve then take next right (CC Lovelace Road). Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.
From Shelby: Take US74 to Rutherfordton (turns into US74-bypass at forest city). Continue on 74-Bypass to Union Road exit. (You will pass the Hwy 221 exit to Rutherfordton.) Go right onto Union Road (curvy two-lane paved road) and continue about 2.5 miles to Pleasant Hill Road on the left. Take sharp turn onto Pleasant Hill Road and continue until you reach HWY 108. Cross over 108 and continue past Pleasant Hill Church where road appears to fork -- fork right. Continue on Pleasant Hill Road until it ends on Maple Creek Road. Turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Go a few hundred yards and take first left onto CC Lovelace Road. Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.

(Turning left takes you to the Working Dog Kennels). (You'll see an Adopt-a-Highway sign saying Possum Hollow Farms.) Go about 3 miles until you see a large pasture with classic red and white hereford cattle on the right and a big old white farmhouse. Turn into the gravel driveway just beyond the farmhouse and continue past the old log building. Follow the drive to the main house (brick) set back in the woods.

From the East: Take I-85 south to US74-Bypass. Take US74-bypass to Union Road exit. (You will go beyond the exit to Rutherfordton.) Go right onto Union Road (curvy two-lane paved road) and continue about 2.5 miles to Pleasant Hill Road on the left. Take sharp turn onto Pleasant Hill Road. Go over bridge. Continue 1-2 miles to a big white farmhouse on the left. Turn into the gravel drive just before the farmhouse and continue past the old log building. Follow the drive to the main house (brick) set back in the woods.

From the North: From I-40 take HWY 221 south to Rutherfordton. Continue through town to fourth red light (CVS, Amoco and Dominoes Pizza are on corners). Turn right. Go short distance and take first road to left just past Mi Pueblito Restaurant. Continue up hill past Elementary School towards Hospital. Road ends in front of Hospital. Turn right and go short distance to first left (HWY 108). Turn left onto HWY 108. Continue on HWY 108 4-5 miles. Cross Mountain Creek bridge. Take next left onto Pleasant Hill Road. (You'll see an Adopt-a-Highway sign saying Possum Hollow Farms.) Go about 3 miles until you see a large pasture with classic red and white hereford cattle on the right and a big old white farmhouse.
